Running On Empty...

"Look around for the friends
That I used to turn to to pull me through
Looking into their eyes
I see they're running too..."- Running On Empty- Jackson Browne

1:30 a.m.- Driving on Lake Shore Drive..Listening to Jackson Browne...Avoiding the weaving cars...The speeding cars...The speeding and weaving cars(my favorites)...Outside the Dominick's on Ridge there is car sideways in the street that I think crashed into a pole there and was abandoned...Craaaazy shit...

"Doctor my eyes
And tell me what is wrong
Was I unwise
To leave them open for so long ?"- Doctor My Eyes- Jackson Browne

Not a bad wedding at the Blueberry this evening...Had some lingerers, but it all turned out okay, I suppose...Perhaps it was a bit of a karmic pat on the back for the previous events of the week...

Not a great end to the week for old Paticus, if I may cry on your shoulders for a few minutes...

Thursday night I am the recipient of what I now know to be called "The Ball Stomp" by my lovely cat( for a full explanation, check out "I Hate This Collar Bell" linked to the right over there--> (That smug bastard cat)

After a great swollen testicle night of sleep, I wake up in the morning and travel to the dentist...She says two more magic words to me...ROOT CANAL...Fabulific, I think...Then I get to spend the next hour and forty five minutes with my jaws clamped open while she does some "digging, and some pushing and some scraping"(that is a DIRECT quote)...In my lower jaw...Mmm, mmm...If there is a better way to start a weekend than with a root canal, I'm sure I don't know what it is...Then , later on Friday, my foot gets gnawed off by a walrus !! Can you imagine that ? A walrus gnawed off my damn foot !!! Okay, that last thing didn't happen, but I didn't know if the other two things were enough to be complaining so much about...But I think they probably were..Stomped testicles and teeth digging and pushing and scraping suck pretty badly, I'll tell you what...

" Well, I'll keep on moving
Things are bound to be improving
These Days
These Days
These days I'll sit on cornerstones
And count the time in quarter tones to ten
My friend
Don't confront me with my failures
I had not forgotten them"- These Days - Jackson Browne

alright, I have whined enough...Enjoy the chicken...
