11/11/2007:Sorrow

I know that I normally try to keep this blog kinda light and well...stupid, I guess is the best word for it, but I'm not feeling either of those things.
My Dad died Sunday morning...And I am fucking wrecked. We are leaving for Jersey tomorrow morning, so I probably won't get to post for a few days
I'm not even sure why I'm posting this. I think I hoped it might make me feel a little better or something, I don't know.
But it didn't.
I'm gonna write a post to honor him, but I am simply not capable of doing him justice right now.

I miss you, Pop.

There aren't words to convey how sorry I am to hear this sad news. Of course you're wrecked, this is huge.

We'll be thinking about you and sending love.

I came here over a year ago, via Dr. Mama's blogroll. I lurk, and my husband and I try out your lyric/movie quizzes. All this to say, I am so sorry for your loss. We will be thinking of you and your family, and we wish you peace...

Paticus, there's nothing right to say but I am sorry and hope you can find a way to feel better sooner rather than later. Take care...

I've been so busy that I haven't stopped by here for almost a couple weeks... and this is what I see... and Paticus, I'm truly terribly saddened by your loss. 7 years ago this December, I lived through the death of two people so very dear to me... and my own dad, I know, is in his very last years and so I'll have to deal with this all myself soon enough.

But my wishes right now are that you and your family are doing better, my friend. As Bobby said on one horrible day:

"Well, if there's anything our friend taught is, it's that music can be used to ease us through the sad times."

Take care.
