I'm Back... Happy To See Me ?

What ? Didja think I was dead ?

Sorry to disappoint...I am very much alive, and I have returned from vacation.

That's right, Crimestoppers, I was back in my beloved New Jersey for 10 fun filled days. And you can add to that 4 days on the road.

That's right, old school road trip family vacation. Want some of the highlights ?

I believe that a lady in a Cracker Barrel mistook my children to be my grandchildren(I am only 37, but my hair is pretty much all grey now.)- My Special Lady contends that the woman said something about her own grandchildren, but I think she's just trying to soothe my battered self-esteem. Do you think I'd look better as a Chestnut Brown, or a Goth Black ? Or perhaps a blond ?
Let's move on. I was also mistaken for a woman. We were at a local watering hole/restaurant, and My Special Lady and I sat down at a booth, and the waitress comes up from behind us and says,"What can I get for you ladies ?" Thankfully, when she saw my beard, she realized she made a mistake, but then she asked me for my AARP card, and asked if I needed my steak pureed so as to not damage my choppers. She did not get a good tip.

What else happened ? The Paticus family reunionized. Very nice time.

My Special Lady and I hosted a get together of some of our Jersey area pals at my Mom's house. I think a fun time was had by all. I used a gas grill for the first time, and I must admit, I was pretty fond of the damn thing...I don't think I'm quite as far up charcoal's ass as I used to be.
The girls had a great time visiting their Bubbi(Grandma-my Mom) and their Grandma and Grandpa on My Special Lady's side,as well as their cousins and Aunts and Uncles.

We did not get to see as many friends as we had wanted to, nor get to see the ones we did see for as long as we wanted to.

AND, my beloved Mets won 9 games in a row heading into the All-Star break, and, being in New Jersey, I got to watch them all on the tee vee !!! Whoo-fucking-hoo !!!

Okay, I think that's enough for now.

You should go with a nice shoe-polish black. In fact, just use shoe polish.

Avitable- That would also solve the problem of my hair always getting scuffed !!

Dude, you haven't lived until you've sucked your steak through a straw.
