Does Anybody Know....

where the phrase "Sure, sure(or yeah, yeah) Bob's your uncle." comes from ? I've heard it many times, but I'm not sure where it comes from. I do know that it's a way of letting on that you know someone is lying, but i don't know what it means...Can anyone help me out here ? And by the way, the "Dollars to donuts" thing STILL remains a mystery...If I don't get some answers soon, I might never sleep again !!

that's funny, i found that phrase on a word origins web site not long ago. it has to do with political favors/nepotism, as i understood it. in the 1870's, i believe, in ireland. it's google-able, like most everything!
