The "O.C." Disorder

You know, despite the O.C's use of it as a theme song, I still dig the song "California" by Phantom Planet...Their "Always On My Mind"(Not the Willie nellson song-which is even better) is pretty kickass as well...In fact thewhole "The Guest" album(which I believe was their first) is pretty groovy.
Also on the music front...Has anyone heard the new Ray Davies album ? I'm starting to hear good things about it...I might just have to check it out...Aren't you all glad I shared this information with you ?
You're welcome...

have you heard Phantom Planet's version of "She's Gotta Be Somebody's Baby"? It's 10x better than the original--really inspired.

Do you mean the Jackson Browne song from "Fast Times" ? I don't know that I'd like a cover of that...I love me some Jackson Browne...And that song is forever tied to that incredibly awkward sex scene in the dugout...That would be tough to top...

Believe me, their version is even better. They recorded it when they were still teenagers, and there's something perfect about how young they are and their delivery of that song. It's. . .happier. It's pop perfection.
