The Movie is Called "Raiders Of The Lost Ark",Dammit!!!

So, we moved recently(like last Monday, recently) and have been unpacking boxes.

I was alphabetizing our DVDs last night...What? I alphabetize them so they are easier to find, so what? I alphabetize the CDs too, you have an issue with that?

Anyway, this is not about my OCd storage habits(or maybe it kinda is), this is about the first movie to feature the character known as Indiana Jones. You remember that one? I do. I remember my oldest sister and her husband(then fiancee or boyfriend) coming by the house and taking me to go see it(I think it was kinda impromptu, and very cool). I even remember the title of the movie...Do you remember the title of the movie? That's right, it was called "Raiders of the Lost Ark".

You know what it WASN'T called? INDIANA JONES AND THE RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK!!!! THAT'S what it wasn't called!! So then, WHY is the DVD of this particular movie entitled "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark"? Why is that? Is it just because that's what people always call it? Is that the reason? Should I just add an "s" to the end of my last name, since 90% of people who meet me or have any reason to use my name for the first time do so?

Jumping Jesus on toast, people! The movie has a title, stick to it!! And that is why I filed it under "R" for Raiders, while the other two movies and the bonus materials are filed under "I" for "Indiana". Deal with it.

Oh, and Jackson Browne's first album is titled "Jackson Browne" NOT "Saturate Before Using".

HARUMPH!!

I second your harumph!

And as a child who saw Star Wars in the theater when it first came out, I don't like it being called Episode IV or A New Hope. Fuck that shit! It's just Star Wars!

Earl- YES!! If I say "Star Wars", there is only one movie I am talking about! The other 5 movies have other titles. Star Wars(1977) is Star Wars!!!
