We saw "Midnight in Paris" this weekend. Delightful movie.
I don't know how you feel about Woody Allen and his movies, but this is a very good one. I don't know that I would put it up there with "Love and Death"(my personal favorite of his flicks), "Annie Hall", "Bananas", "Crimes and Misdemeanors", but it's very good. Really funny and enjoyable.
It's a bout a guy who is in present day Paris, and ends up spending time with some great characters from history: Scott & Zelda Fitzgerald, Hemingway,Picasso, Gertrude Stein, among others. His interactions, of course, affect his current life.
I don't want to go into too much detail ,but I really enjoyed it. Plus, it reminded me of this(and was based on it, I'm sure) from Allen's standup work. Simply Brilliant.

What's In The Box?
Potential "Seven" spoiler alert. In case you've never seen it...I reference the end of the movie, and the clip is of the end of the movie...You have been warned.
A couple of weeks ago we received a weirdly shaped box at work. It was basically round. So, my first thought was that there was a head in the box. So, I immediately said "Oh, WHAT'S In THE BOX?!?!?!?!" a few times in a row(a pretty good impression of the line, if you ask me)...But nobody knew what I was talking about.Nobody got the reference. And now, I have been doing that Brad Pitt imitation in my head off and on for the last couple of weeks...Anytime I see any kind of box...I fear it may be affecting my sanity.Oh, and by the way, the box was just full of books.
Sorry for the link...Embedding was disabled by request:

"I Dunno...space floor?"
This is a clip from the Albert Brooks movie "Modern Romance". He plays the editor on a movie being directed by the real life director James L. Brooks. They are trying to get just the right sound for the running, and the first time I saw it, I rewound it about six times, and I was crying I was laughing so hard. Albert Brooks is absolutely hilarious, and if you have not seen his movies, you should. His stand up and his voice work on the Simpsons is inspired as well.

The Movie is Called "Raiders Of The Lost Ark",Dammit!!!
So, we moved recently(like last Monday, recently) and have been unpacking boxes.
I was alphabetizing our DVDs last night...What? I alphabetize them so they are easier to find, so what? I alphabetize the CDs too, you have an issue with that?
Anyway, this is not about my OCd storage habits(or maybe it kinda is), this is about the first movie to feature the character known as Indiana Jones. You remember that one? I do. I remember my oldest sister and her husband(then fiancee or boyfriend) coming by the house and taking me to go see it(I think it was kinda impromptu, and very cool). I even remember the title of the movie...Do you remember the title of the movie? That's right, it was called "Raiders of the Lost Ark".
You know what it WASN'T called? INDIANA JONES AND THE RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK!!!! THAT'S what it wasn't called!! So then, WHY is the DVD of this particular movie entitled "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark"? Why is that? Is it just because that's what people always call it? Is that the reason? Should I just add an "s" to the end of my last name, since 90% of people who meet me or have any reason to use my name for the first time do so?
Jumping Jesus on toast, people! The movie has a title, stick to it!! And that is why I filed it under "R" for Raiders, while the other two movies and the bonus materials are filed under "I" for "Indiana". Deal with it.
Oh, and Jackson Browne's first album is titled "Jackson Browne" NOT "Saturate Before Using".
HARUMPH!!

Today's Post Is One Big Spoiler For The Movie "High Tension"
I know, the movie is like 6 years old, but we just saw it this past weekend, and I have a major beef with it.
Okay, if you have not seen High Tension(aka Switchblade Romance), and you think you want to....STOP READING NOW!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay. Now, I can appreciate a good twist as much as the next guy, and I can even accept some of the blatant inconsistencies that this movie has in it, that we are clearly supposed to explain away by saying..."Oh, I see, she was crazy. That's how she was able to drive two cars."
But here is the thing that I cannot just let go. Near the beginning of the movie, right after we have established who the two girls are,and where they are going, we have a scene of the "killer" in his truck, apparently getting a blow job from the severed head of a woman(all done very tastefully, of course), which he then throws out of the truck.
Now, here's my problem(plotwise) with that scene...We eventually find out that the killer is actually Marie(one of the two main characters of the movie), or one of her personalities, or however you want to explain it, then HOW was she able to kill and receive head from another woman while she was in the car with her friend ? There is no indication that this is happening at another time, or that it's a dream or anything. That's really not fair. they basically completely establish this killer as another person in a way that does not fit with it being Marie.
I realize that I have probably already spent too much time thinking about this, but it does bug me.It really makes the ending a cheap gimmick, rather than a plot twist. And that kinda pisses me off.

Not To Be Cynical....
But do we really need a Ghostbusters 3 ? Yeah, they are apparently making a Ghostbusters 3.
Shit man, we didn't need Ghostbusters 2.
And believe me, I LOVED me some Ghostbusters. I remember begging my brother to take me and my friends to go see it on the day it came out. I remember reading about the special effects in Fangoria before it even came out. I even had one of those stupid t-shirts. So don't go thinking I'm some Ghostbusters hater from way back...That I am not!
I was even excited for Ghostbusters 2...And then I saw it. It was pointless and unfunny and uninspired, and pretty much everything that the original Ghostbusters was not.
I suppose it's possible that they have come up with a really good idea, and that this Ghostbusters 3 will be fresh and funny and fantastic. But is it really likely ? I've got myself thinking about sequels now, and how many sequels there are that are actually good. I don't think it's that many, but I think that's for another post.
I just don't think I am excited about a Ghostbusters 3.

Dogs In Movie Theaters
Let me state something so that all cards are on the table:
I don't like most dogs.
I don't advocate their injury or anything, I'm just not a big fan. And I will admit that a lot of it probably traces back to dog owners. For instance, I can't really blame the dogs who shit all over the lawn behind our last apartment, making it unusable(is that a word ? I'm not sure, but I'm going with it.), it's really the owners who refuse to clean up after the dogs. there are a few exceptions, of course, but for the most part, I am not a dog fan.
I have also had a few run ins with dogs. When I was a kid with a paper route, there was a German Shepard named Sasha, who absolutely hated me. it used to bark and bark and leap at the fence it was behind. Now, before you say it, I did NOT tease the dog.I don't tease animals, whether I like them or not. No, this dog just did not like me. Perhaps it was because I was an intruder on their lawn and porch while I was delivering the newspaper ? Perhaps.
Allow me to set the scene. I am delivering my newspapers, which I do with a boom box on a guitar strap over my shoulder. The boom box was about this size:

I drop the paper on their front porch, and I hear the dog barking inside the house. I really don't think a whole lot about it until I hear the door open(for them to get the paper) and then I hear the two words that made my blood run cold..."SASHA NO!" I glanced over my shoulder, and sure enough, there was a very angry German Shepherd bounding down the steps toward me.
Now, I know that lots of people say "Don't run, that only makes them want to chase you." Well, at this point, the alternative was her EATING me, so I thought chasing was the lesser of two evils.
Let me tell you something, if you ever want to find out just how fast you can run, get chased by a large dog that really does not like you. This house was about a long block from my house, and I think that I, a fat kid, covered that distance in about half a second. okay, that is probably a slight exaggeration, but it was really fast. Faster than I ever would have thought my little butterball ass could go, that's for sure.
But I digress, what I wanted to tell you about today was our trip to the movies on Saturday night. My Special Lady and I went to see "The Wrestler". Which, by the way, is a phenomenal movie. Depressing ? Sure. But Mickey Rourke is un-fucking-believable in it. So is Marisa Tomei, by the way. And the Bruce Springsteen song, is just incredible.
We were sitting in our seats, waiting for the movie to start, uncomfortable silence between us, trying to not discuss the "incident" with the jalapeno peppers, when this lady walks up to our row and stops. I get up to let her enter the row, and I notice that she has a dog with her. A dog, at the movies. My first thought is ..."Oh, what the fuck ? A dog ? Who does this lady think she is?"
Then I figure that it is probably a helper dog(it better be), so I let the first thought go. It's a mutt looking dog, but seems pleasant enough...But it did STINK. As did the lady, by the way, and her movie companion, who showed up a few minutes later. the dog just smelled like dirty dog smell, but the people smelled some some sort of odd spice combination. I was, quite frankly, glad that My Special Lady had to sit closer to them than I did.
So, the dog was well behaved and all, but I couldn't help thinking this: If it is a helper/comfort dog, shouldn't they sit in one of the handicapped spots that have extra room next to, and around them ? Doesn't that make more sense than squeezing it in on the floor in front of a normal seat ?
Am i way off on this ? What do you think ?

The 25 Funniest Movies of The Last 25 Years ?
I don't think so.
Entertainment weekly is at it again. this time, they have compiled a list of what they claim are the 25 funniest movies since 1983(or, the last 25 years). They got a few right, and they got a few wrong. I started compiling a list of movies that I felt they left off, and I came up with more than 25 pretty quickly.
First let's examine their list, shall we ?
25. Withnail & I: Never saw it, don't have an opinion.
24.Naked Gun:From The Files Of Police Squad! : Very funny movie, don't know if I think it's among the Top 25 though.
23.Austin Powers:International Man Of Mystery :Funny. But again, Top 25 ? I dunno
22. Old School : Definitely not in the Top 25. Maybe not Top 75.Overrated movie.
21. Clerks : Excellent. Probably Top 10.
20.Best In Show :Hilarious movie. Borderline genius.
19.Clueless : Top 25 ?Um...no. Amusing ? yes. Again- waaay overrated movie.
18.Napoleon Dynamite : Not aging well. kinda annoying.
17.Tropic Thunder: Didn't see it, looks hilarious.
16.Superbad: Again, funny, but I don't know about Top 25.
15.Trading Places : I don't know if this is Top 25 for me.
14.Wedding Crashers: first half was funny, then gets a bit slow.
13.Waiting For Guffman: Hard to argue, hilarious movie.
12.When Harry Met Sally: another very overrated movie- why put in a Woody Allen knockoff, when you can put in a Woody Allen movie ? Hannah And Her Sisters anyone ?
11.The 40 Year Old Virgin: Hilarious. maybe not number 11, but might make the Top 25.
10.Dazed & Confused: Great, great movie.Way too funny.
9.A Fish Called Wanda: Good, but overrated too. I'll take real Monty Python- Meaning Of Life.
8.The Big Lebowski: I'll abide, though probably Top 5.
7.There's Something About Mary: again, horribly overrated movie. Funny, but not classic.
6.South Park:Bigger,Longer, And Uncut: awesome movie.
5.Office Space: Yes.
4. This Spinal Tap: Yes.
3. Beverly Hills Cop: Maybe further back, but probably Top 25.
2.National Lampoon's Vacation: I go back and forth on this one. I wouldn't have it this high, though.
1. Ghostbusters: Great movie-very funny, though not my number 1.
So, that's their list. Here's the list, in no particular order, that I came up with, just thinking of movies they left off.
What About Bob ?, Happy Gilmore, Splash, Strange Brew, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid(oops, came out in 1982),Repo Man,Wet Hot American Summer,Real Genius,I'm Gonna Git You Sucka !,Fletch, Hollywood Shuffle, Lost In America,Rushmore, After Hours, The Tao Of Steve,Anchorman, Midnight Run,Planes, Trains, And Automobiles,Scrooged, Groundhog Day, Roxanne, All Of Me,Meaning Of Life,Risky Business,Friday,Princess Bride,Ferris Bueller's Day Off,16 Candles, Zelig, Hannah & Her Sisters, Better Off Dead, The Sure Thing, Into The Night, Bottle Rocket.
And, here's the hybrid, MY list of the 25...um, 30..Well, 31 funniest movies of the last 25 years.
31.Midnight Run: Grodin, DeNiro, Farina- What's not to love ? "Make yourself a sandwich, drink a glass of milk... Do some fuckin' thing. "
30.Risky Business: A young Bronson Pinchot & Tom Cruise teach us how to laugh. "Please Joel, do what they say, just get off the babysitter. "
29. Into The Night- Jeff Goldblum as an insomniac who gets dragged into jewel heist intrigue with Michelle Pfeiffer. Very funny movie. Find it if you have not seen it. A bunch of directors appear in the movie as well, and David Bowie has a great cameo in it. "If he's still there, you better let him go if you ever want to see those stones alive... a-again... ever. "
28.Anchorman: This movie makes me cry I laugh so hard. " Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina. "
27.16 Candles: Best John Hughes movie(You can have Ferris & The Breakfast Club)" Relax, would you? We have seventy dollars and a pair of girls underpants. We're safe as kittens. "
26.Lost In America :A genius(Albert Brooks) at his best. "Shut up Brad! Your song stunk, I hate your suit and I could hurt you! "
25. Splash : Worth it for John Candy & Eugene Levy alone."You see, drinking is a matter of algebraic ratio. How drunk you get is caused by the amount of alcohol you consume in relation to your total body weight. You see my point? It's not that you had too much to drink. You're just too skinny."
24. Best In Show : See above list. "We started this magazine, 'American Bitch'. It's a focus on the issues of the lesbian pure bred dog owner. "
23.Wet Hot American Summer: "I'm gonna go fondle my sweaters."- (quote corrected, i originally had "rub" but I was wrong. thanks, *jaime !)
22. Fletch : Chevy Chase at his smarmy peak. "Can I borrow your towel ? My car just hit a water buffalo."
21. Happy Gilmore :This movie is just damn funny-tough choice between this and Billy Madison, I think I like this better because I saw it first."You can trouble me for a warm glass of shut-the-hell-up. Now, you will go to sleep or I will put you to sleep. Check out the name tag. You're in my world now, grandma."
20. The Sure Thing:Maybe John Cusack's finest hour. Tim Robbins is funny as Gary Cooper, "but not the Gary Coooper that's dead."
19. Bottle Rocket: "I'm Dignan, man."
18. What About Bob ?: "Is this corn hand shucked ?"
17. Monty Python's Meaning Of Life: Not their best work, but even their so-so stuff is better than most. "Gimme a bucket"
16. Real Genius: Great, great movie. Val Kilmer is hilarious."Your mother puts license plates in your underwear ? How do you sit ?"
15. Strange Brew:Pure genius. "just because I don't know what it is, doesn't mean I'm lying."
14. Friday: "I'm gonna get you fucked up today. Because it's Friday, you ain't got no job...and you ain't got shit to do!"
13. Office Space: "PC load letter ?"
12. Beverly Hills Cop: 'You're not gonna fall for the banana in the tailpipe ?"
11. Ghostbusters:"Yes, it's true...this man has no dick."
10. Dazed & Confused : "Alright alright alright."
9. Planes,Trains & Automobiles :"Funny enough, I was just talking to my friend about that. Our speedometer has melted and as a result it's very hard to see with any degree of accuracy exactly how fast we were going. "
8. Zelig :"He was the guy who smashed my car up. It was brand new. Then he backed-up over my mother's wrist. She's elderly... and uses her wrist a lot. "
7. South Park:Bigger Longer & Uncut: "Satan, your ass is gigantic and red. Who am I going to pretend you are, Liza Minelli? "
6. Repo Man: "Oh, yeah, you're fuckin' A we ripped your car, asshole. You want to know who told us where it was? Your god-damned brother.
5. This Is Spinal Tap: "We're very lucky in the band in that we have two visionaries, David and Nigel, they're like poets, like Shelley and Byron. They're two distinct types of visionaries, it's like fire and ice, basically. I feel my role in the band is to be somewhere in the middle of that, kind of like lukewarm water. "
4. Roxanne: One of Steve Martin's best." I like to go out there with, like a meat sandwich and just be."
3. Clerks: ""Empire" had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All "Jedi" had was a bunch of Muppets. "
2. Groundhog Day: Groundhog Day. Groundhog Day. Groundhog Day."Ned, I would love to stay here and talk with you... but I'm not going to. "
1. The Big Lebowski : "That's fucking interesting, man. That's fucking interesting."
So, there's my list. Agree ? Disagree ? What do YOU think are the funniest movies of the last 25 years ?

"I'll Take These Huggies,And Any Cash You Might Have in The Cash Register..."
It seems that there was much discussion about my comment on my distaste for Nicolas Cage and his acting performances.
Okay, there really wasn't much discussion, just Avitable telling me to see Ghost Rider(Avi- I did see it, and I hated it, I think I wanted it to be better), and a.k.a. asking about Raising Arizona...But I smelled a post in there, and I'm running with it !!
As I stated(or typed) yesterday, there are few Nicolas Cage movies that don't make me want to claw out my eyes, and stick dynamite in my ears(also known as the "Scratchy Treatment").
Here are the few that I can safely watch:
Fast Times At Ridgemont High
Rumble Fish
Adaptation
Valley Girl
Wild At Heart
Racing With The Moon
Raising Arizona
The Rock
Con Air
I think that is all. Otherwise, I either hate the movie, or hate his performance in it(Peggy Sue Got Married comes immediately to mind in the latter category).
What do you think of Nic Cage ?
Hey, maybe this could become a regular thing ? You folks send me some actors and actresses, and I'll let you know what of their body of work i like to watch !! Whaddya think ? It's a perfect combination of my love of being a jerk and my love of being told what to do ?
Let's go for it !! Start leaving me some names !!

EW's 25 Greatest Action Movies Of All Time !!
Okay, the June 22nd issue of Entertainment Weekly had their list of The 25 Greatest Action Movies of All Time. Some were good choices, some were bad choices, some were puzzling choices. I won't even begin to talk(type) about the fact that in the magazine, they started the list at #1- what about dramatic tension, people ? Criminy ! Okay, I guess I lied when i said(typed) that I would not even begin to talk(type) about that. I clearly did start to talk(type) about it. Sorry, and in case you were wondering, my pants, are, in fact, on fire.
Here are some of my thoughts(which are really just my opinions, some of which are defendable, some of which are not-you can have your say in the comments)...
25. The Incredibles-I dunno. I didn't like this as much as everyone else seemed to, and this choice kind of stinks of -"ooh, let's put an animated film on there and blow everyone's mind!"
24.Lethal Weapon- Okay, I can agree with this one.The sequels sucked, but this one was a good buddy cop action move.
23.Drunken Master II- Didn't see it. Don't really care to.
22. Predator-Overrated. The Running Man was better, and more fun and Arnold was in that as well.
21. Spiderman- Okay. I can hang with this one.
20.Kill Bill Vol 1- Great choice. Great movie. "action movie" didn't jump to my mind right away, but the fight sequences are pretty badass.
19. Goldfinger-I have to agree with the laser beam crotch scene being one of moviedom's all time images.
18.The Adventures Of Robin Hood- Haven't seen it.Don't know that I will.
17. The Bourne Supremacy- I did not expect to like the Bourne movies, but really did. I can never remember anything about them, but I don't care.
16.Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon- I have said before, I hated this movie. Bored me to tears, then to sleep, then I woke up and cried again.
15. Enter The Dragon- Bruce Lee. I haven't seen the whole thing, but...Bruce Lee- enough said ? probably.
14. Robocop- "I'll buy that for a dollar." Fun movie. I dug it.
13. The Wild Bunch- Peckinpah.
12. The Empire Strikes Back- One of the greatest movies ever, so this should be further up the list.
11. Speed- Ugh. This movie is a piece of crap.
10. Terminator 2: Judgement Day- One of the most overrated movies of ALL TIME. First of all, it is NOT better than the first one. Secondly, Linda Hamilton is ridiculous in it. It's like a parody of the first movie. Okay, I'll give you that the Robert Patrick cyborg is cool , but this movie goes on forever.
09. Hard Boiled- The two gun thing is neat, but i don't remember much else about this movie. Though I'm tempted to agree with Homer Simpson, when he talked of "..misdirected woo, which is just about any John Woo film", just because that always made me laugh, not necessarily because it's true.
08. Saving Private Ryun-Fuck this movie.
07.Gladiator- On second thought fuck THIS movie. OH. MY. GOD. What a pile of shit. And Russel Crowe won an Oscar for this ? For playing a Spaniard with an Australian accent ? He should have won for the Insider, not for this. This movie was CRAPTACULAR !!!
06.Seven Samurai-Kurosawa-Enough said.
05. The Matrix- I'm torn on this one. On an action level, it was pretty cool, but the sequels were soooo bad, that it actually hurts this one. I would probably have it on the list, but maybe not so high.
04.The Road Warrior- Mad Max is better, but this is a great movie.
03.Raiders Of The Lost Ark- Brilliant movie. Action packed, funny. the acting is actually good.
02.Aliens- Great, great movie. Back when James Cameron could still make great movies. This thing never fucking slows down. It's so damn good. It's the one sequel that I might be tempted to say was better than the original.
01. Die Hard- Fuck yes !! Yippee-ki-yay-motherfucker !!! This is a fan-fucking-tastic movie, and has to be considered for one of the greatest franchises ever. All 3 of the movies are really really good. And I am fucking excited to see the 4th one. We lived in L.A. for 8 years, and we saw the old Nakatomi building just about everyday. Kickass !!!
So there you have it. Whaddya think ? Am I full of shit ?
I think I might come up with my own Top 25 Action Movies list as well. Would that qualify as a sequel ?
Stay Tuned.

Stay Tuned.

Movies That I Hate...
I read Mark's list, and while I disagreed with a lot of his choices, I was properly inspired to make my own list.
Here are some movies that I despise...Some might be obvious choices, some might surprise and even disgust you...In no particular order...
Titanic: Too long. Too stupid. And waaaaaay overpraised. the only good thing about it ? The stunning Kate Winslet's glorious naked breast.
A.I.: This one has it's own post. Lord, what an interminable waste of my time and money. I still say, the reason Kubrick never made this movie was because there was not a movie to make.
King Kong(2005): Ugh. I never ever thought something could make me nostalgic for the abomination that is the 1976 King Kong, but Peter Jackson's bloated mess did just that.
Howard the Duck: there are few movies I was more excited by, or more disappointed in. This movie took this great comic book character and turned him into Donald Fucking Duck without the speech impediment. Howard is a brilliant, perverse character, and he got lobotomized and sanitized for the big screen. An abomination.
Ordinary People: This movie won Best Picture ? over RAGING BULL ? This plays like a bad afterschool special. It's god awful.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: What ? It sucked. You can go on and on about the lyricism and blah blah blah..It was boring...It didn't look beautiful...And the people running around in the trees looked very much like they were hanging from wires.
Saving Private Ryan: I know, this make me some Un-American Pinko fag bastard. Oh well. I don't see how saving a blond, blue-eyed soldier(hmm...who else was all hot and bothered by the blond and blue-eyed ? did it seem ironic to anyone else that they were going to save Matt Damon, who would have made Hitler cream his pants ? No offense meant to Matt Damon, of course.) is supposed to "make sense " of the war...It was WORLD WAR TWO !!! There was clear reason to be fighting that war. It wasn't Vietnam or Korea. It was WWII !! I also happen to think if just about any other filmmaker in the world shot that exact same opening scene, it would have been called "gratuitous" but since the "Golden Boy" did it, it was "artful" and "realistic". And what was that ending ? Oh, God that was awful.
Good Will Hunting: Kee-Rist!! ANOTHER bad afterschool special. Ooh, Matt Damon & Ben Affleck get to show off their Bawstan accents. Ooh.This movie just plain sucked.
Wow, I'm really killing some Matt Damon there, aren't I ? I actually like him quite a bit. He's great in the Bourne movies, and in the Departed. He also does a great Matthew McConaughey impersonation.
The Postman: This movie actually impresses me, in the fact that Kevin Costner actually got this made. He made this spectacularly expensive failure with Waterworld, and then he got a studio to give him another ungodly amount of money to essentially make Waterworld without the water. That is some impressive work.
Batman & Robin: Ugh. I love me some Batman. I can even stomach batman Forever(just barely) but this one was too much. The best part was that Mr Freeze lets you know in the movie how bad it's going to be- He skates around with his little bombs going "Bomb! Bomb ! Bomb!" Amen, Mr. Freeze. Amen.
Gangs Of New York: Jaysus. Where do I start ? This movie was god awful from start to finish. I really like Martin Scorsese(minus Bringing Out The Dead), but this was unforgivable. Just a bloody(literally) mess.
Then there are some that I couldn't even bring myself to finish watching:
Bringing Out The Dead
Reindeer Games
City Slickers 2
Miami Vice
The Last Samurai
I could go on and on...and on...But I won't, but of course, there could always be...A SEQUEL !!!

Snake Plissken ? I Thought You Were Dead...
Why oh Why must Hollywood continually tamper with perfection ?
I have read that they are going to remake "Escape From New York", one of the two greatest
B-action/adventure/sci-fi/thriller movies ever !!(DeathRace 2000 being the other, of course)
Why would they do this ? They cannot improve on perfection. They should not even try. How can you hope to top a movie that has Adrienne Barbeau AND Ernest Borgnine in it ?Not to mention Lee Van Cleef, Harry Dean Stanton and Isaac Hayes !!
The movie has a great actor(Kurt Russel) doing his greatest work in it( "Big Trouble In Little China" runs a close second).
It has one of the all time greatest catchphrases, also used as the title of this post.
This is more blasphemous than Peter Jackson's remake of King Kong, or a remake of Citizen Kane.
"when I get back, I'm going to kill you."- Snake Plissken

What Movie Is This From: Episode XLIV:Anyone Got Change Of A Dollar ?
I need quarters for the parking meter. No ? Nobody has four quarters ? I'll check the pizza place across the street.
We have a winner from last week !! After several days of deliberations, the judges decided to award a victory to the lovely and talented C2, even though she identified the movie that this is from
"It's you, Sarah...You're stalking yourself!!"
as "Don't Talk to Strangers", when the real title is "Never Talk To Strangers". It seems that most people who have seen the movie have tried their best to blot it from their memory, so getting most of the title is considered a victory. Brava,C2, Brava !!!! You may not realize it, but that means that at this particular moment, C2 is the reigning champion of "Name That Lyric" AND "What Movie Is This From"- There's a fact for the resume, C2.
Onto this week's clue:
A movie from 1969
"Listen, I don't mean to be a sore loser, but when it's done, if I'm dead, kill him. "
Good luck, Crimestoppers !!

What Movie Is This From:Episode XLIII:I Had A Very Hard Time Spelling "Episode" Today...
I did. First it was Episdoe, then I backspaced too far,and misspelled it Epsiode, but on the 3rd try, by gum, I got it right !!
We did not have a winner from last week. The lovely and talented Dave guessed that the line was from "Tenacious D; the Pick Of Destiny", and while that line MIGHT be in that movie( I have yet to see it), my clue was from a movie from 1980. Sorry about that, Dave.
"She's not outside eating chicken, that's for sure."
is from "Seems Like Old Times" with Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn.
Now, onto this week's clue:
A movie from 1995:
"It's you, Sarah...You're stalking yourself!!"
Good luck, Crimestoppers !!!

What Movie Is This From: Episode XLII: The Kazoo Is Really An Underappreciated Instrument...
In a shocking turn of events, there was no winner from last week, not one person realized that
"Where I sleep is none of your business !!"
is from "Captain Corelli's Mandolin", starring the lovely Penelope Cruz, and the generally annoying Nicolas Cage. It's a movie I am glad to say I have not seen, but I remember the line from the promos, and I simply love the way Ms. Cruz delivers it.
