100 NEW Classic Movies

Okay, so I saw this list of "100 New Classic Movies" of the last 25 years, in Entertainment Weekly, and then I saw what Avitable had done with the list, and I said...Hmm, I should steal that. And now I have.
I have bolded the movies on the list that I have seen(90 out of 100-either impressive or sad, depending on your perspective),and I have placed asterisks next to the ones that I liked. I have also added some choice editorial comments(both positive and negative) along the way. Enjoy!
And of course, feel free to do for yourself!

You didn't like Casino Royale or Natural Born Killers? The former was a brilliant Bond flick, and the latter was brilliant satire.

Avitable- I liked Casino Royale, i guess i just question whether it's a "New Classic", and I definitely question it at 19. And I just hated "Natural Born Killers", i didn't think it was good satire. I just thought it was pointless and long. I would like to have seen it had it stayed in Tarantino's hands.

I think Casino Royale and Goldeneye are my two favorite Bond films, actually.

I re-watched Natural Born Killers a few weeks ago and still loved it just as much and I even think that the message about the media being a problem is truer now than when the movie first came out.

Avitable- I am not the biggest Bond guy in the world, so i can defer to you on that one.
I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on NBK. Not that i disagree with the message to the movie, i just didn't like the presentation.

I found a lot of their "new classics" to be dubious at best, though moreso in the TV category (not having seen a lot of the movies, honestly). Beverly Hills 90210? Really? And higher than Kids in the Hall?

c2- i'm writing up a little something about the tee vee list for my Museum of Tee Vee and Television, but i assure you, it will NOT badmouth 90210 !
