That's right, not misHEARD lyrics, but misINTERPRETED lyrics. And just what the hell do I mean by that? Well, if you could cut out the swears, I'll let you know.

And now I will tell you how the lyrics of this song was misinterpreted by me. Honestly, I'm not even sure if misinterpreted is the right word. In the song, John Fogerty was singing about Lodi, California. Something that everyone might not know? There is also a Lodi in New Jersey. The Lodi in New Jersey is where one of the DMV offices is located. When I was a kid, this was the DMV where you had to go to get your car inspected. Suffice it to say, it was not a place people really wanted to go. I remember going there once with my Dad(I think it was probably in the Country Squire station wagon, but that may just be nostalgia), and sitting in a loooooong line of cars for a loooooooong time.
So, whenever I hear CCR sing "Lodi", I think of poor John Fogerty sitting in a DMV line in Lodi, New Jersey. I'm guessing that's a misinterpretation.
